About Me
I am a applied AI scientist and software solutions engineer, specialising in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and deep learning,
with extensive experience in designing and deploying end-to-end AI-powered applications. My work spans environmental monitoring and civil
engineering with a strong focus on addressing complex real-world challenges. I am particularly passionate about applying GenerativeAI
to create meaningful impact.
Currently, I am dedicated to combating plastic pollution through
the Ending Plastic Waste Mission. In this
role, I collaborate with the CSIRO Marine Debris Team
and award-winning leading experts to develop
an innovative AI-driven solution, which I had the
opportunity to present at the Ending Plastic Waste Symposium 2024.
Previously, I led a groundbreaking collaboration with the Department of Transport and Main Roads, developing
an innovative system to improve road safety by analysing
video data. I've also played a crucial role in developing a pilot study using AI
for koala behavior
detection and classification to help reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions, aiming to protect these beloved animals.
Recognised for fostering impactful cross-sector collaborations with government and research organisations, I have also been
awarded Associate Fellow of the Higher Education
Academy (AFHEA).
This internationally recognized certification, granted by Griffith University and originating from the HE Academy,
signifies excellence in teaching and support of learning.
I am committed to driving innovation and delivering AI solutions that create meaningful impact for government, industry, and the broader community.
As part of this commitment, I have served as an R&D mentor
through CSIRO's Innovate to Grow program, supporting industries in expanding their research
and innovation projects. Through this role, I have helped SMEs bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and practical implementation,
fostering collaborations that turn ideas into scalable, real-world solutions.
